[New Taipei City News] “The "2024 New Taipei City International Documentary Month” has kicked off as of November 3rd. This year’s program includes four main themes, showcasing a diverse lineup across 22 screenings of 31 domestic and international documentaries. The New Taipei City Government’s Department of Information held the opening special screening at the Taiwan Film and Audiovisual Institute today (3rd), presenting the Golden Horse Award-nominated documentary “Xixi”, followed by a post-screening discussion with director Wu Fan and her team, allowing audiences to experience and witness the touching moments firsthand.
[New Taipei News] The New Taipei City Documentary Film Awards ceremony was held today (25th), announcing the top three winners who each received a trophy and prize money of NT$100,000, NT$80,000, and NT$60,000, respectively. Thirteen other outstanding films were awarded certificates. To actively expand its international reach, the New Taipei City Government's Department of Information has invited Jian Manshu, who is not only an actress but also a director and screenwriter. Jian won the Golden Bell Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Program in 2021 for her performance in the drama "The Arc of Life." She serves as the annual event ambassador, jointly witnessing the excitements at 30,000 feet.
