[New Taipei City News] “The "2024 New Taipei City International Documentary Month” has kicked off as of November 3rd. This year’s program includes four main themes, showcasing a diverse lineup across 22 screenings of 31 domestic and international documentaries. The New Taipei City Government’s Department of Information held the opening special screening at the Taiwan Film and Audiovisual Institute today (3rd), presenting the Golden Horse Award-nominated documentary “Xixi”, followed by a post-screening discussion with director Wu Fan and her team, allowing audiences to experience and witness the touching moments firsthand.

[New Taipei News] The New Taipei City Documentary Film Awards ceremony was held today (25th), announcing the top three winners who each received a trophy and prize money of NT$100,000, NT$80,000, and NT$60,000, respectively. Thirteen other outstanding films were awarded certificates. New Taipei City Mayor Hou Yu-Ih, Director of the Information Department Lee Li-chen, as well as key partners from the Chi Po-lin Foundation, CEO Wan Guan-Li, Director Chi Ting-Huan, judge panel representative and producer Han Xin-Xin, senior directors Tseng Wen-Chen, Hsu Che-Chia, Maso Chen, Chen Hao-Mei, and renowned film marketer Wang Shi, attended the event to celebrate and warmly congratulate the winners.

[New Taipei City News] The New Taipei City Government is collaborating with the Taiwan Film Festival in Boston Association, inaugurating a partnership with today's (Aug 17^th) signing of the "New Taipei City Documentary Film Award and Taiwan Film Festival in Boston Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony and Annual Feature Video." New Taipei City Mayor Hou Yu-Ih graced the event alongside Dr. Lan Fan-Yun, the founding president of the Taiwan Film Festival of Boston Association, Dr. Lisa Kang, the festival chair and the event ambassador, actress Jian Man-Shu. They expressed hope that more outstanding New Taipei documentaries will be showcased on the international stage in the future.

[New Taipei City News] The new season of "New Taipei Theater," now in its third year, took off today (8th), kicking off the New Taipei City Documentary Film Awards series of activities. To actively expand its international reach, the New Taipei City Government's Department of Information has invited Jian Manshu, who is not only an actress but also a director and screenwriter. Jian won the Golden Bell Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Program in 2021 for her performance in the drama "The Arc of Life." She serves as the annual event ambassador, jointly witnessing the excitements at 30,000 feet.
