Hoang from Ben Tre, Vietnam, Hsui-Juan from Kalimantan, Indonesia, and Chang-Hua from Guangxi, China, live together in the seaside town of Dongshi, Chiayi. Their international marriages did not lead to prosperity, instead, they found themselves drifting from place to place, working and caring for their families in a fading fishing village.
Beyond accepting their fate, how can they carve out private moments of resistance and happiness amid their fragmented daily lives?
