Where the Bees Belong is a documentary that explores the ecological crisis facing honey bees. The daily life of A-Xian, a beekeeper living in Zhongliao, Nantou, is used to convey the humorous interactions and pace of life as they collect honey in the mountain wilderness. Despite the deadly threats posed by agro-chemicals to bees, the beekeeping family insists on living in harmony with nature. The film also explores structural problems, such as consumer habits, agricultural systems, and environmental change, to examine the feasibility of humanity living in harmony with nature.
