Themed BitterSweet, Taiwan Film Festival of Boston launched on October 2nd, inviting all audiences to immerse in movies and experience life’s ups and downs in-between. 

 

New Taipei City Documentary Film award well-selected three award-winning films “Ms. Lin -The Retouching Lady”, “My Way” and “See You White House” to screen in the festival, guiding overseas audiences to walk in a memory lane and explore unique sentiment of people in Taiwanese culture.

 

"Ms. Lin -The Retouching Lady” from director Lin Shih-Chun, dates back a whole half-life of a photo retouch editor, it brings us scanning an era that prospered and elapsed.  “My Way” from director Su Mei-Yu, the story depicts the deep bonding of father and daughter who returned hometown after a car accident and started aquaculture business. From director Lee Chine-Cheng, “See You White House” recorded a profound history of US-Taiwan partnership for over five decades in Yunlin, Taiwan.

 

Chang Ai Jin, General Director of Department of Information, New Taipei City Government says, “Three festival screening films are fostered from New Taipei City Documentary Film Award prize. “See You White House” in particular is now crowdfunding and developing to feature version, which is about to screen to more audiences in various places.”

 

“Due to a long-term promotion and support of New Taipei City Government, more and more Taiwanese documentary films shines and being known overseas. New Taipei City Government is looking forward to team up with international film festivals to carry forward interaction between cities through movies.”

 

Taiwan Film Festival of Boston duration: October 2nd - October 8th. “Ms. Lin -The Retouching Lady” and “My Way” will screen in AMC theaters, Boston on October 2nd.  “See You White House” will be played online during October 3rd to 5th.
