The employee housing community of Taiwan's First Nuclear Power Plant in Tamsui was once home to hundreds of families. As the plant undergoes decommissioning, employees retire, longtime neighbors move away, and public facilities close, the community has gradually become unrecognizable to those who once called it
home.
As a community shaped by Taiwan's national energy policy undergoes transformation, the film looks back through the memories of its former residents to document the fading of this once-vibrant neighborhood. Through the lived experiences of different
generations, it explores the deep emotional bond between people and place, revealing how national energy policy has tangibly shaped—and reshaped—the home of a nuclear power community.
